Papo Knight Figures at Comaco Toys Direct

A big new order from high quality figure designer Papo has now arrived in stock at Comaco, and I must say it looks great. Our last blog post was on the Dinosaurs, so this time were going to concentrate on Knights in armour from the Medieval Era Range.

We have five different boxed gift sets available. Each contains two knights on horseback with a variety of different weapons and designs:

39185  Knights Display Box 39185

80601  Knights Display Box 80601

80600  Knights Display Box 80600

39750  Knights Display Box 39750

39751  Knights Display Box 39751

In addition to these great sets we also have a couple of fantastic accessories:

39932  Catapault / Arrow Launcher

60502  Medieval Castle Playmat

The Catapault / Arrow launcher really fires (safe) balls and arrows. Meanwhile the large, heavy duty Playmat comes in its own carry case and measures 95 x 133 cm. It weighs in at nearly 1.5 kg!

These are superb quality toys which give many many hours of play – why not start your collection today! Check out all our Papo Knight Figures.

Papo Dinosaur Figures at Comaco Toys Direct

I’ve recently been rewatching “Planet Dinosaur”, the TV series from a few years back narrated by John Hurt. This included lots of new weird and wonderful dinos you may not have heard of before, including the fearsome Spinosaurus – a predator bigger than T-Rex that hunted like a crocodile.

This is has somewhat inspired our new order of superbly detailed Dinosaur figures from Papo. As well as spinosaurus we have dimetrodon, t-rex, archaeopteryx, brachiosaurus, stegosaurus, allosaurus, plesiosaurus (which some believe is real name of our local celebrity Nessie), parasaurolophus and pachyrhinosaurus amongst others. New stock should be in next week. Makes me wish I was about 35 years younger!

UPDATE: All Papo Dinosaur Figures are now in stock and available to buy. Check them out here.

Rotating banners

As you might have gathered from the recent instigation of this blog, we at Comaco have lately been trying to raise the profile of our fine online shop a bit. This seems only sensible as we have lots of new toys coming in at the moment. The website design itself was in need of a bit of a spruce up so we opted to move from our old static banner to a funky rotating one showing a range of our products.

Being something of a traditionalist, I still tend to use Internet Explorer by default and last night the new bannner with changing pictures and captions looked to be working fine in IE. However I later happened to look at it on my phone in Chrome and discovered that the captions were actually showing below the pictures, instead to their right as they should be. This was something of a problem since captions now appeared in the middle of the product listings and this looked very untidy indeed. Back on the PC I confirmed that this was indeed how the site looked in Chrome, and what’s more it was exactly the same in Firefox. For some reason though, the banner showed absolutely perfectly in IE. I don’t have any idea why.

After much messing about this morning looking at code for pictures and text, I finally managed to get the banner looking right on all browsers. I’m hoping it looks pretty good but please feel free to let us know what you think. I’ll just try and remember not to use IE next time I am doing any work on the website!

Hello!

This is an exciting time for Comaco. Last week yours truly made a trip down the Spring Fair at the NEC in Birmingham to check in with some our existing of suppliers, as well as to connect with some new ones. The first fruits from this venture came yesterday with the arrival of a shipment of brand new products. These include some big brand names which are new to us: Nerf, Call of Duty, Halo, Hello Kitty, Doc McStuffins, Lego and JCB. More of these on the way shortly, as well as a big new order of great Papo animal, dinosaur, pirate and knight figures.

These toys will be available to buy on site very shortly. Here are a few pictures to whet your appetite!
